Bachelor of Education, B.Ed

Teachers play a very important role in a student's life. It is to a great extent, the teachers, who decide the shape a student's life by taking care. Therefore, it is very necessary to be adequately equipped with resources that will make the teacher a perfect role model to the students. To achieve this, Bachelor of Education  (B.Ed) was introducing, which will teach a person about Teaching and the various aspects associated with teaching. Once a person completes the Bachelor of Education  (B.Ed) Coaching or training, then he is award with a B.Ed.

Why study Bachelor of Education?

There are some important reasons as to why one should opt for B.Ed course:

You become efficient in teaching subjects of your specialization based on accepted principles of learning and teaching. The course develops your skills and widens your understanding so that you can impart quality education to your students. The course also teaches you about the attitude and makes you skilled in coming up with innovative teaching techniques. You become more competent in understanding psychological principles of growth and development and individual differences of the students you teach. There is a separate section in this course, where you learn to guide the children and counsel them in solving their personal and academic problems. If you think, you have the qualities to be a teacher, then move forward and complete Two year's course on Bachelor of Education  (B.Ed).

National Council for Teacher Education-(NCTE)

Government of India set up the National Council for teacher Education (NCTE) in 1973 as an advisory body to the government at the Center and the State, on matters related to teacher education. However, in 1986 the government framed a National Policy on Education (NPE), which stressed on the need to set up a statuary body to look after the teacher's education in the country, as a first step to produce good teaching professionals in the country. On 17thAugust 1995, National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in the conferred the status of statutory body in pursuance to the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993.

The National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) sets up norms and standards for teacher's education right from pre-school teacher education to post graduate level teacher education. Apart from this, the council also plans, coordinates and implements innovative ways to educate teachers. The NCTE also achieves the purpose of Government of India to achieve planned and coordinated development of the teacher education system throughout the country. 

The Council has its headquarters at New Delhi and four Regional Committees at Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar and Jaipur to look after its responsibilities. The head of NCTE is a Chairperson of this council. Regional Director of the committee manages the Regional Committee of NCTE.
